"-Black Creek is probably the first band to play the El Mocambo, Le Coq D'or and the Horseshoe all in one season. There is obviously a wide appeal to this combo. ...The band has just completed writing and recording the music for an upcoming Canadian movie called "Lions for Breakfast" and the theme from it, produced by Cliff Edwards (The Bells), will be their first single. An album, (of course) didn't follow because shortly after the release of the single, "Bright Side of Tomorrow", the band fired its managers, (Dixon-Propas) and therefore, also its label (RCA). Black Creek wrote the above mentioned movie sound track in two days and recorded it in a marathon 24 hour session. Their efforts were rewarded when they won the 1975 Genie Award for the Best Original Film Score.
